Watching fashion consultant Teresa Lindsay you learn very quickly how to make a ‘fantastic new outfit’ (if only to go to the grocery store in) right from pieces in your own wardrobe. For over fourteen years Teresa has made an art out of transforming closets and the-not-so-chic into savvy dressers with her One-Day Wardrobe Makeover. By reputation, she was hand picked (in 1999) as Eatons’ Personal Shopper in Victoria and is known for working with local celebrities, corporate employees, stay-home moms, retirees, and successful business men and women. While at Eatons’, she was recruited as a shopping expert and television host onboard cruise ships and was swept away for three ‘exhilarating’ years.

Teresa had fallen in love with designing fashion at twelve and by the time she was twenty she brought the “how to” of personal style into the homes of the general public creating her own wardrobe consulting company, known today as The Fashion Compass. Her company now offers training programs for others who are interested in becoming fashion consultants. She regularly tells her clients and students; “Never feel you should wear what’s in, use these designs/styles/colours as new inspiration or accents. Wear what works for your shape, what makes you you and you different - this what D. Vreeland and Coco Chanel were famous for. They set trends by just looking their best… others then followed.”

When she is not spreading her wardrobe magic, she’s in her quiet house in Oak Bay with her charming German husband Mario, her new daughter Angelina, and her adoring young Weimaraner, Cleo, planning their next great adventure.

For more stylish pointers, Teresa conducts regular workshops at Absolutely Gorgeous in Oak Bay Village
